Financial Reports

Annually the Village of Shorewood has an audit performed by an independent auditing firm.

The Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) awarded a Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting to the Village of Shorewood for its Comprehensive Annual Financial Report for the fiscal year ended March 31, 2022. In order to be awarded a Certificate of Achievement a government must publish an easily readable and efficiently organized Annual Comprehensive Financial Report. This report satisfied both generally accepted accounting principles and all applicable legal requirements.

The Village believes that the current Annual Comprehensive Financial Report for fiscal year ending March 31, 2023, continues to meet the Certificate of Achievement Program’s requirements will submit it to the GFOA to determine its eligibility for another certificate.
