The Shorewood Police Department is looking for qualified individuals interested in a law enforcement career. Basic requirements for a police officer are:
21-35 years of age.
A High School Diploma or equivalent.
Good oral and written communication skills.
Possess a valid driver’s license.
Be of sound moral character.
Be able to work well under pressure.
Be able to pass the Illinois POWER test.
No felony criminal convictions.
The current starting salary for a patrol officer is $73,330.
