Chief of Police

Policing involves a special trust given to us by the public to uphold and enforce the law. As public servants, policing entails and requires us to have countless interactions with the public and the community we serve. Often these contacts are at a time when people are at their worst; crisis and distress can unfold rapidly and in unforeseen directions. Each employee is equally important and plays an essential role in our efforts. Policing in the Village of Shorewood involves a partnership with the community. As the fourth Chief of Police to serve the Village, I am most proud of the Shorewood Police Department and every member of our agency. I am proud that this department embraces the Ten Shared Principles that were designed to build trust between law enforcement and people of color.  Each and every day our employees act with the professionalism and dedication that often goes unnoticed. We will always strive to leave the department and the Village of Shorewood better than we found it.
